TNR & Shelter Cat Surgery

Spay & Neuter Surgery
for TNR & Shelter Cats

We support community-cat TNR and care for rescued cats.
Open weekdays and Saturdays. Same-week appointments often available.

Ear tipping (sakura ear) is standard for TNR cats—the internationally recognized sign that a community cat has been sterilized.
Cats kept indoors after rescue are priced under our separate shelter-cat schedule.

Transport & Drop-off Instructions

Please follow these guidelines for your cat's safety and a smooth visit.

Covering traps & carriers with cloth

Before transport, cover the entire trap or carrier with cloth (furoshiki, towel, blanket, etc.). This helps cats stay calm and reduces stress. Covering front and back is even more effective.

Acceptable traps & carriers

Metal traps, plastic carriers, and folding wire carriers are all acceptable.

Lining with pee pads

Line the bottom of the trap or carrier with pee pads before your visit (do not use newspaper). Many cats injure claws and paw pads trying to escape; rolling a pad inside cardboard for the floor is safer.

Surgery day

  • No food after midnight the night before surgery (water is OK)
  • Bring cats in the same trap or carrier—do not transfer to another container

  • If we find the cat is already sterilized, only ear tipping applies (¥8,800 tax incl.)

Rescue / TNR Terms of Use

Eligibility & conduct

  • Discounted rescue/TNR surgery is for individuals or approved groups with verifiable activity only.
  • TNR is intended for unowned free-roaming cats living outdoors only.
  • False representation of owned pets as rescue or TNR cases may result in refusal of discounted services and future appointments.
  • We may request post-operative updates to ensure proper care and animal welfare.

Rechecks & follow-up

  • All animals except TNR cats returned outdoors require a recheck. TNR cats may still need rechecks depending on health and recovery.
  • After TNR, cats must be returned to their original territory.
  • Following spay-abort procedures or other surgeries requiring closer monitoring, release is recommended only after appetite and recovery status have been adequately confirmed.
  • However, recheck may still be requested for TNR cats depending on their medical condition or recovery status.

Appointments & scheduling

Same-day or emergency requests may not always be possible. We prepare thoroughly before surgery—equipment sterilization, staffing, and case-by-case planning—for safe care.

Messages received outside business hours may be answered on the next business day.

Appointments are confirmed only after scheduling arrangements have been completed.

  • Frequent cancellations, repeated schedule changes, last-minute cancellations, or withdrawal after confirmation may result in refusal of future appointments.
